A member company must be licensed under the provisions of the Knox-Keene Health Care
Service Plan Act of 1975 and be doing business within the State of California. Member
companies may offer products other than prepaid dental.
Associate members shall provide services to dental plans, their enrollees or the dental
managed care industry, or be affiliated with a university, which conducts programs
related to the health care field.
Individual members shall provide services to dental plans, their enrollees or the dental
managed care industry.
Membership Procedure
A company applying for membership in the California Association of Dental Plans must
complete an application and pay an annual membership fee. Member plans must subscribe to
and support the organization's purposes and be approved by the Board of Directors.
Dues
Dues for membership are based upon the size of the member company, as determined by plan
membership levels. Membership entitles the member company to one vote through a
designated delegate or alternate. Associate and Individual members do not vote on
Association matters nor can they serve on the Board of Directors. Associate and
Individual members can serve on Association committees.
